As they applied they each participated in the Seb Prize which is part of the competition since Design PARADE 02. You’ll be able to discover both their personal projects and their work for Seb from July 3rd 2009 in the Villa’s Salle Voûtées. For now the first scenography meetings have started…

H5 in Hyères on July 3rd !

Saturday 2 May 2009

We are proud to announce that the professionnal opening of the festival will preview LOGORAMA, an animation movie by french graphic designers H5.

As Ludovic Hulpain, founder of the label, explains, LOGORAMA is based on the following observation: everything surrounding us can be represented by a logo. How does this reflects our environment? How does it translate into our vision of our world ? What heritage does it build ? When the beauty and grace of a good logo meets visual abundancy …

A three year project, LOGORAMA will be shown in Cannes this spring and at the Pompidou Center later this year. In Hyères, the screening will be followed by a debate lead by Walter Bettens, editor in chief of DAMn° magazine. (reservations required)

Document 6: Djo Bourgeois

Friday 1 May 2009

For the sixth year, the villa Noailles produces a Document exhibition. A historical point of view on the building, its creators and more generally on the modern era. This year Document 6, in association with the Bibliothèque Forney, in Paris will explore the world of Djo-Bourgeois. Architect and decorator, he conceived some of the key rooms of the villa.

The exhibition, the first to be organized on Djo-Bourgeois, will show a small but exclusive selection of pieces and will focus on the French Riveira, its simple yet playful relation to modernism.

It will also be an opportunity to go one step further towards the prefiguration of the Villa’s permanent display to be opened in 2010.
