Young Designers Competition: and the nominated are…
Monday 31 May 2010Like every year since Design Parade exists (five years now!), the young designer competition is a big event during the festival. Among a pre-selection of 40 projects, the jury already choose ten young designers for the last step of the competition.
This year, the jury is composed by:
Naoto Fukasawa, designer and also the president of the jury.
Tejo Remy, designer, Utrecht.
Aldo Bakker, designer, Amsterdam.
René-Jacques Mayer, art director, Sèvres, Cité de la Céramique, Paris.
Didier Grumbach, collector
Antoine Boudin, designer, 2009 awarded, Paris.
These ten young designers will each exhibit a personal work and a project commissioned by Seb at the Villa from the 3rd of July to the 26th of September.

This year we are particularly proud to welcome for the first time two graduating student from the Cranbrook Academy (USA), Issac Yu Chen and Jonathan Muecke.
Four awards are going to be delivered. Winners of the Grand Prix, the Seb Design Award and of the Veuve Cliquot Award are chosen by deliberation. The public also chooses its winner so don’t forget to come and vote!
