This conference made by Gordon Bruce will introduce the figure of architect and designer Elliot Noyes. The guy who made IBM, Mobil … identities and engages to work with him on these subjects Paul Rand, Charles Eames, Georges Nelson, Mies vand der Rohe etc… Noyes had a certain idea of what is design and it seems important to us to remind of his issues. Why ? Because the questions are : Are we in a world where brands forget their role ? Are we in a world where creativity is still meaning clever, honest and good business ? and also because Noyes and all his fellow designers where convinced that life was also about nature, modern houses and responsability…Gordon Bruce is the author of the Noyes’monography for Phaidon that we have the pleasure to welcome at the villa. He will also interact with the H5 graphic designers on today’s realities about those issues.

10.30 PM In the Shade I, Logorama : a super preview ! / Projection and Debate at the Villa

Projection of Logorama, meeting and discussion with graphic designers H5!

A special preview of this short animation movie inspired by american B-movies will open the festival that we linked  . A critical point of view on the abundancy of images today and the beauty of a well design logo. The screening will be followed by a debate with the designers of the H5 studio, the graphic designer Yorgo Touplas and designer Gordon Bruce.
