Born in 1972, Jan Adriaans studied at the Saint Joost Academy of Breda between 1994 and 1999. Recently, his work was exhibited at the Debalie Centre for Culture and Politics in Amsterdam (2005) as well as at the Netherlands Architecture Institute, which commissioned a project from him in 2006. Jan Adriaans is based in Rotterdam.

Alexandra Catiere
Belarus

Born in Minsk, Belarus, Alexandra Catiere lives alternatively in her home town as well as in New York City. She first studied photography in Moscow before entering the International Center of Photography in New York, where she worked as an assistant to Irving Penn and Yuri Kuper. In 2005 she was selected to participate in the Art+Commerce Festival. The following year she exhibited her work in the Brooklyn Public Library.

Netherlands

Dutch, born in 1978, Popel Coumou lives in Amsterdam. She is a graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In 2005 she exhibited at the Fotografiemuseum of Amsterdam (FOAM) and at the Mauritz van de Laar Gallery in The Hague. More recently, her work was shown at the Amsterdam Centre for Photography.

Janelle Lynch
USA

Born in 1969, Janelle Lynch graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1999. In 2003 she exhibited her work at Berkeley University in San Francisco as well as at The American School Foundation, Mexico. In 2006 she exhibited at Gallery 44 in Toronto. Pieces from her Akna and River series have recently been included in the collections of the George Eastman House, Rochester, New York and the Brooklyn Museum.

Christophe Maout
France

Christophe Maout was born in 1967 and is based in Paris. After completing his studies in French and German Law, he turned his attention to photography and soon began a practice of reportage. He worked extensively for Libération and Télérama, and he exhibited at Visa Pour L'Image. Alongside his commissioned work, Christophe Maout continues to develop a number of personal projects, all of which share a common theme: the relationship between man and landscape. The two series exhibited during the Hyères Festival, Homelux and Printemps (Maout's most recent work), were completed between 2004 and 2006.

Madoka Sakamoto was born in 1978. In 2001 she graduated from Nihon University for the Arts. While developing her own personal projects, she also works for magazines and advertising in Japan. In 2005 and 2006 she resided in Paris where she notably worked as an assistant photographer. Madoka Sakamoto has just returned to Japan and is now based in Tokyo.
